Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 3rd March 2012 I am taking part in the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon to raise money for WaterAid. I will be hoping to complete the sprint course which is a 750m swim, followed by a whopping 50km cycle, followed by a 5km run.
3 months ago I could barely swim 10metres front crawl, and I've always hated running. The extent of my cycling experience was to cycle to and from school/the rowing club/ the pub many years ago. So if I manage not to drown and if I manage to complete the course (even if I have to crawl rather than run), then I should be happy, although I'm hoping to do a bit better than that! If I manage to raise money in the process for Wateraid, my favourite charity, then I will be ecstatic.
WaterAid is an international non governmental organisation focused exclusively on improving poor people’s access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation. WaterAid works in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region and campaigns globally to realise a vision of a world where everyone has access to these basic human needs.
