This year I have decided to give the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon another go.  I will be swimming 750m, cycling a whopping 50km and finishing with my least favourite, the 5km run.  I enjoyed the challenge last year and it gave me great satisfaction to raise money for my chosen charity (WaterAid) at the same time.  This year I am asking you to dig deep again to give me that extra motivation to complete the course and to raise money for another very worthwhile cause, Alzheimer's Research UK.  Dementia affects so many of us and our loved ones.  Anyone who has had a friend or family member with Dementia will know how awful it is for both the patient and their families - more research in this area is vital for our future.  

As some of you know, my grandmother passed away before Christmas and she suffered for many years with this disease.  I hope by raising money for this cause it may make a small difference - even if it's only a drop in the ocean to what is needed - every penny counts!
