Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing a 48hr sponsored silence, starting at 10am Monday 30th January 2012 and lasting until 10am Wednesday 1st February- when i can finally make some noise :)

Many of you will know that I am very talkative and noisy... So this will be a biggg challenge for me- which is, of course,for a very very worthy cause, as I am supporting the Stroke Association. One reason for doing this event is that 7 years ago my Nanna died from a stroke, after suffering several strokes during her life. Recently I have been missing her very much- and I want to do something to honour her memory.
The stroke association provides immense support to stroke patients as well as their families. In the U.K 150,000 people have a stroke each year. There are over 670,000 deaths a year due to stroke alone. The stroke association acts as a voice for anyone who has suffered a stroke, and in doing so aims to educate and increase knowledge of the illness.
The charity funds research into prevention, treatment, better methods of rehabilitation and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its community support services. Therefore this is a very worthwhile cause- that is very close to my heart.

So please sponsor me, every little helps, however big or small it will be greatly appreciated.
