Royal Parks Half Marathon 2022 · 9 October 2022 ·

We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

On the 9th October 2022 a group of my close friends and I are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my friend's dad David. David was diagnosed with MND in the April of 2016 and for the last 6 years battled against this awful diagnosis. His determination, courage to keep going against all odds, and his ability to find laughter and fun even on his darkest days is something that we will forever admire and is an inspiration to us all. Sadly on February 3rd, he passed away leaving us all truly heartbroken. Life will never be the same without him but how lucky we were to have someone so special that saying goodbye is so hard.

MND is a truly awful disease that kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis. MND can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe. Please please please help us raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. There is currently no cure for this terminal illness and currently no real effective treatment, please help us change this. We can change this we just need your help to do that.
