In March I will volunteer for International Service on a development programme. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers on a project that will help to protect and promote the rights of some of the world's poorest and most marginalised people. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

I need to raise £1500 for International Service who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. The money I raise will not go towards my flights, visas, vaccinations or accommodation. It contributes to the ICS programme so that 7,000 young people from the UK and overseas can volunteer like I am on projects in the developing world and fight poverty and discrimination.
