Story
I will be running the Richmond Half Marathon in memory of my amazing daddy who sadly lost his life last year.
This run will be taking place on 12th September which will be the one year anniversary of his passing. It will be an emotional but special day and the BHF team have helped so much to get me prepared for this.
My dad spent a lot of time around Richmond/Twickenham for the rugby so the location of this run couldn’t feel more right either! No doubt I’ll be booking one of his favourite pubs after the run to raise a glass for him.
I look forward to completing this in his memory and very importantly giving back and raising money for all the work the BHF do. There are some incredible people out there who work so hard to help find treatments/cures and the BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK.
Everyone who loved my dad will have had a challenging year. Dealing with the shock has been extremely difficult and unfortunately so many families will go through similar but by raising money, I hope we can help in some way.
Thank you to everyone who has been there for us, showing such extreme kindness. I am so thankful every day for having had such a loving, kind and caring dad who I was very close to. I feel so lucky to have so many lovely memories and know how much we all miss him every day.
I would be so so grateful for any support you may be able to give in helping me reach my target (no matter how small) ❤️
