I am raising money for The Alzheimer's Society due to money being vital in being able to provide a cure for this disease which is still unfortunately unknown. I am also connected to this charity for personal reasons. My Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimers around 2 years ago and since then it has been very hard for all the family to say the least, seeing him trying to cope with this disease. Any money that I raise by participating in this half marathon will go towards this good cause, but most importantly will make me feel like I am doing something beneficial for my Grandad.
