Sophia had her first seizure when she was 5 weeks old and was diagnosed as epileptic at 6 weeks old, throughout the following weeks and months she had eeg, ecg, various medicines, lumbar puncture, an uncountable amount of blood tests and was diagnosed with a genetic defect of the SCN8A gene at 9 months old, resulting in epilepsy and global development delay. 

so I am running the Bradford 10k 2023 to help raise essential funds for Epilepsy Action to continue their work in supporting the 600,000 people in the UK affected by epilepsy.
