Story
In October this year I’ll be completing a gruelling 12 day trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 metres above sea level!!) in Nepal to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people, and their families.
CLIC Sargent provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for up to three years.
Just £30 of your money could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of CLIC Sargent’s eight 'Homes from Home', providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home. Staying in a Home from Home ensures a family can be close to their child during treatment.
I would really appreciate your support for this fantastic cause. All your donations go direct to the charity.
Please donate anything you can (big or small); it will be life-changing for children & young people with cancer all across the UK. Anna xxx
