Fundraising for Gene People
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Fundraising Page...
I'm fundraising for Genetics Disorder UK as its a charity with a vision to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
This means a lot to me because my 2 little sisters both have genetic disorders.
Evie, age 5, has been diagnosed with a defective MC4R gene. This causes the brain not to recognise that she is full, which creates obesity and addition health issues. Evie has learning difficulties, she communicates through gestures and she displays signs of autism. Non of this stops her from enjoying life to the max!
Amelia , age 3, is diagnosed with Down Syndrome, this was discovered at a 16 week amnio. Amelia has delayed motorskills, she has difficulty eating and has learning difficulties. This doesn't stop her from causing chaos and telling everyone off. Amelia has an amazing personality and makes everyone smile :)
Me and my best mate Tom are tackling the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest Race at the end of October. Were trying to raise £300 for this charity, if you would like to donate to get us a little closer towards hitting our target we would be incredibly grateful! 😊 Your donation will help children with life-altering disorders and help fund the day to day costs of support needed for families affected.
