On the 2nd May I have been asked to ride in a charity flat race at Ascot racecourse. The race is in add of BEHEST's Racing to School Programme. Racing to school supports children, including many who are disadvantaged, to practice their national curriculum subjects in the unique environment of their local racecourse, trainers yard or stud. The programme helps children gain new skills and increases their team work and confidence. For 83 % of children Racing to School is their first race day experience- sparking the interest of children who could be the future of racing.

Most of the children involved of BEHEST have never left the cities they live in, so the more money I can raise the more disadvantage children can have the opportunities so many of us take for granted.

If I raise over the £2,000 for BEHEST I will be able to give donations to my choosen charity. That will be Injured Jockeys Fund, as most of you will know this charity in the last year has been very involved in the rehab of my brothers recent injuries but also so many of his friends who have had the help from this fantastic charity to aid them back into racing.

I hope you will be able to help me achieve my goal of £2,000 as this will enable me to ride. Riding at such a prestigous racecourse such as Ascot and to raise money for such a fantastic cause will be a great achievement.
