Story
Please support me, in the craziest thing I will ever do, so I can jump from a plane in October to raise vital funds for Us in a Bus so that we can continue to support people with profound and multiple disabilities and complex needs.
The last fundraiser I did was our Fire-walk in October 2017 and that felt crazy enough but I went across first and smashed it!
By the time I jump it will have been 5 years since I directly asked any of you for money to support my personal fundraising efforts so I would be very grateful for any donations big or small!
The people we support have suffered most of all in these isolating times - they haven’t understood the world changing around them but they’ve severely felt the impact. The work we do is vital - I’d love to share more about this so for each date a new donation is added I’ll post a heart tugging anonymised update on someone we see just to show the value of what we do and your donation.
A little about me:
I have spent the past 13years working with children and then adults who have disabilities in roles such as teaching staff, private carer, dear friend carer, personal assistant and for the past 5years through the charity Us in a Bus. I am utterly passionate about spreading recognition of the immense value of these people who are all beautifully unique and wonderful.
In my personal life, I have a brilliant husband Bruno who’s eccentricity compliments mine perfectly; a wonderful young adult who studied media in Brighton, a gorgeous 15month old son who loves his bunnies and a very aged, cantankerous ginger tabby cat. I adore all things Disney and embrace the philosophy that growing old is inevitable but growing up is firming optional!
