Please support the Eye Appeal at Ipswich Hospital to raise £55,000 for a portable OCT, a non-invasive imaging test. This is a really clever hand held piece of kit that has the potential to detect, diagnose and monitor eye diseases earlier.

Story

The Eye Department at Ipswich is one of the busiest in the hospital. We offer an extensive range of services to adults and children. We have set up the appeal so we can fund additional equipment and resources that cannot be provided by the NHS alone. Our first target is to raise £55,000 for a portable OCT, an non-invasive imaging test. This is a really clever piece of kit that has the potential to detect, diagnose and monitor eye diseases earlier. It will be particularly beneficial to infants, children, wheelchair users and those who are bed bound. At present these groups of people cannot always access our other imaging equipment and therefore are unable to benefit from it. The difference it will make to our patients will be invaluable.
