Story
Purcells will plod again:
Two years ago Neil, Lisa and myself did the Wye Valley Mighty Hike. I can honestly say it was the best thing I have ever done and was such an incredible day that we booked another one straight away! Possibly we were a little smug from completing it unscathed and the stars and dates aligned so this time we'll be walking the beautiful Jurrasic Coast. To say I'm feeling nervous about the terrain is an understatement! I stupidly joined the Facebook page for the event and can tell you the photos from previous years are terrifying (and absolutely stunning). I highly doubt we'll manage this one blister free and expect it to be more crawling than plodding! So please, think of us on the day and wish us the best of luck.
My reason for doing this crazy challenge:
I feel incredibly blessed as we've had good news this year... Mum's treatment has been successful and she will just be monitored every 6 months! Seven years ago Dad was not so lucky and the walk is the day before the anniversary of his death. So we'll be walking for Mum, and for Dad, and for everyone and their families who have needed the support of Macmillan. I know I've asked this before, but if you can, please spare a few pennies for this amazing organisation.
