London Bikeathon 2011 · 26 June 2011 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Wow bikeathon completed and it may have been one of the hottest days of this year but what an awesome day and I am truly overwhelmed by all the donations, to reach my target is just amazing - thank you thank you everyone!

Never mind 2 feet, its all about 2 wheels!

I've signed myself up to a 52 mile London Bikeathon.  My motivation is to raise money for the worthy charity 'Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research' to help towards beating blood cancers.

I will be using an upgrade from the plastic tricycle in my picture to a 2 wheeler and my training is in full swing.  I've also been told to purchase a pair of padded shorts too…52 miles on a bike will certainly be new territory to me and my backside!

Thank you so much for taking the time out to visit my page and a truly heartfelt thanks for any donation  - I really mean it when I say every pound and penny really does make a difference.

As Mark Ronson's Bike song goes 'I'm gonna ride my bike until I get home' or for me 'I'm going to ride my bike for 52 miles'
