As many of you will know, I am not really a runner. I run every so often and dabble in the odd 10km run as well as a few triathlons here and there but I don't class myself as a runner. The furthest I have ever covered on a run is 10 miles - this is going to be a huge challenge for me.

I feel so privileged to have been given 1 of only 10 places avaliable to run the London marathon for the rspca. The rspca is such a worthy cause, they help so many animals and I could not be prouder to now be part of #teamanimal. 

I watched the London marathon every year at home with my mum growing up, she loved to watch it and I always said I would like to do it one day. So after mum's diagnosis last year I thought what am I waiting for, so here I am.

The rspca is a special charity for mum as well so it seems so fitting that I get to run the race she loves for the charity she supports.

I really am so grateful for everyone's sponsorship. I have to raise £2000 and I am confident I will get there with your support, thank you x x x 

Mum passed away on 29th March 2022 and had written a note saying that she had been upset realising that she wouldn't see me do the race. This note is what is going to get me through it. I will do her proud.
