As you many of you will know, afer a 10 month brave battle, I lost my Dad to cancer in July 2012. After he died I decided I needed a challenge to concentrate on and do my bit to help the Macmillan Team continue their good work. Luckily I managed to persuade a few more people to join me in my challenge along the way. Thanks all, you're awesome!
I began my training in January and have trained on and off since then. Running is not my thing and it has taken a lot of determination to get out in the cold and and get moving. There have been many times when I wanted to give up and stop but I haven't. Dad never gave up, he fought through the pain so I am fighting through my pain to achieve my challenge (and those hills are painful)! I'm getting close now and have gone from running for only a minute to running for over 40 minutes!
The Macmillian Team supported Dad throughout his illness as well as supporting my Mum! Please dig deep and support me through my challenge so the Macmillian team can continue supporting people's lives who have been turn upside down with cancer!
