Story
Whether they are malignant or benign, brain tumours can have a devastating effect. Too many people I know and love have been affected by them, so I'm helping raise funds for Brain Tumour Research.
I have good friends (and their loved ones) who are dealing with the daily reality of what having a brain tumour means, including my lovely friend Jane, and fellow parkrunner and all-round good guy, Kenny.
Sadly, brain tumours (or other cancers that have spread to the brain) have cut short the lives of my lovely Aunt Maureen, Ian, beloved dad of my friend Lyndsey, James, another friend Lindsay’s brother and most recently a beloved family friend Rachel. All were taken far, far too soon.
I wanted to do something positive, to even make a small difference to help fewer people have to go through gruelling and cruel experiences like this.
On Sunday 18th June, I am running the 2023 Women's 10K Glasgow for Brain Tumour Research.
They are a fantastic charity and I would be so grateful if you could take the time to sponsor me to help the cause and to motivate me in my training!
Please add GIft Aid to your donation if you can. It costs you nothing and will add another 20% to anything you donate.
I'm doing this for Jane and for Kenny and in memory of Maureen, Ian, James and Rachel.
