Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My dad, seen here doing some synchronised birthday cake scoffing with Kirsty a few years ago, was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease in 2010. He is doing really well however I have been thinking about how much more difficult it would be for him without good treatment and also about those diagnosed in their 30's and 40's and just how tragically difficult it must be for them and their families.

SO, I am aiming to run the Edinburgh Marathon in May and hope to raise a bit of money for Parkinsons UK. I began training in the misery of the winter weather but got an injury with 6 weeks to go and have only been able to cycle since so It will be a real challenge to get round now but I am determined not to give up.

Stu is doing it with me (for cancer research obviously) so if all else fails, I have someone to drag me over the line.
