Story
Lawrence and I have been wanting to run a marathon for a while but the idea seemed incredibly daunting.
Last October, Tom, a close friend and fellow vet, very suddenly passed away whilst travelling in South America with his new wife, Carolyn. His loss has been devastating for so many people, he was the funniest person I have ever met and I miss his stories every day. This tragic loss has spurred us on to take the plunge and run the 26.2 miles and raise some money for Cardiac Risk in the Young along the way. Carolyn has done a fantastic job with fundraising for this charity and we would love to be able to support her with this very important mission.
The marathon we were going to run has been cancelled due to covid19, but this is not going to stop us running the distance around Glasgow anyway!
Any donations would be so hugely appreciated.
Thank you so much!

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
