My pets have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life - and I have been lucky that my circumstances have allowed me to keep them in my life.  However, other people are not so fortunate.

Our Special Friends does phenomenal work every day to help people in difficulty to keep their pets with them - or to help people who can't have their own pets to have a regular visiting animal.  Having worked with Our Special Friends for over three years I am constantly amazed by the lengths they go to help people in crisis who are desperate not to give up their pet, which is often their only source of comfort, stability and normality. 

I've run several half marathons over the years - but the clue is in the name, it's only half a marathon.  And I always thought that a half was my limit... but with Our Special Friends to inspire me, I'm going to give the full 26.2 miles a shot!
