Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer is a battle that most of us will face in our lifetimes, whether it is a personal diagnosis or the fight of a family member or a friend. My encounters with cancer have come from the fights of two of my wonderful Aunties; one who faced breast cancer and the other a brain tumour. Their strength, courage and determination to beat this cruel disease is the reason my family and I are so fortunate and blessed to still have them with us today.
The latest statistics show that 1 in 2 of us will now develop cancer. This shocking number will undoubtedly put a strain on fantastic support groups like Macmillan, who have provided immeasurable support for my incredibly brave Aunt over the years, as well as millions of others facing the same fight nationwide.
I am certainly not a natural runner, however my slight struggle in training for and running a half marathon is nothing compared to the lengthy battles fought against cancer.
Thank you and pray for me and my weak knees.
