Story

Hello amazing friends and family. I am running the London Marathon in 2018 for my fabulous sister Vanessa and to raise funds for www.braintumourresearch.org and my sister's supportive charity, www.astrofund.org.uk

Vanessa has been incredible over the past 2 years of treatment and we would like to raise awareness, not only for brain tumours, but more specifically for 'low grade brain cancer'. It is desperately under researched and resourced, from diagnosis to understanding cause, prevalence, supporting patients and families. Supporting with funding for the inspirational and dedicated researchers, PhD students, surgeons and Oncologists in the UK, looking for the next stage in R&D for future improved treatments and outcomes.

Please support me generously. As a family, we are closely involved and plan to be into the future, with the charity and very close to our hearts.

P.S. Please come and cheer me on!!!!

Love

Anna xxx

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
