Story
I want to challenge myself whilst hopefully raising lots of money for a worthy cause. I'll be completing the 'Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge' by myself on Saturday 28th May 2016... plenty of time to raise as much as possible!
Trinity Hospice provides compassionate end of life care. They are THE local hospice for Blackpool, the Fylde and Wyre. They can care for up to 20 adult patients in their main hospice, alongside 15 day care patients and their complex also includes Brian House Children’s Hospice.
Compassionate palliative care enables people to live as actively as possible from the time of their diagnosis until the end of life. But what is palliative care? Put simply, it focuses not on cure, but on providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of a serious illness. The aim is to improve quality of life for both the patient and their family, because the stress of caring for a loved one with a terminal illness can be a heavy burden indeed. Trinity offers their service completely free of charge for as long as they are needed, whether that is weeks, months or years. I personally know of people who have been cared for during the end of their life by Trinity Hospice, and know of the wonderful work they do.
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page! I’m trekking to support the amazing work that Trinity Palliative Care Services and Brian House Children's Hospice do. It would be great if you could donate and share my Page so I can raise as much as possible to help them continue their amazing work. Thank you.
