Story
We are doing a charity skydive for mind as we both think that this is such a good charity and one where the donations can make a huge difference. All donations will be HUGELY appreciated!
Did you know that every year, one in four people will experience a mental health problem and that hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling?
By doing a skydive this will raise awareness around mental health and will also help to get people talking about it and help to break the stigma.
Also fun fact is that I (Anna) am also a very nervous flier so I will not only be extremely scared of jumping out the plane but also the actual flight itself! The skydive will be from 10,000 ft with a freewill of 5,000 ft, we could be plummeting to the ground at a speed of 120mph.
Harry:
"As somebody who has struggled to talk about mental health because of the toxic society that a guy can grow up in, for instance being told to "man up", I want to raise awareness that you can have a voice and that sometimes "manning up" is to talk about your mental state with a friend or family member, be that over a beer or over the phone.
I want to raise awareness to show that it is okay to talk, Mind also offers a great helpline service if you want to talk to somebody completely anonymous."
