The second photo is Tersit Zema*. She is 16 and both her parents died 9 years ago. Funding from SMCF enabled our partner organisation JeCCDO to arrange for her aunt, Zewdeneshe*, to care for her, and the gift of uniform, shoes and books meant she was able to continue in school . Tersit enjoys school very much and would like to be a journalist when she leaves. SMCF also provided funding for her aunt to have training in small business skills, and now Zewdeneshe supports herself and her family by making traditional baskets.

Tersit is just one case of so many, that this great charity helps.
