I have travelled to Lourdes with Royal Navy Group 186 of HCPT for 13 years and seen first hand the amazing impact on the children. The reason it is so rewarding is because the children gain so much.

One year the Group Leader (Eileen Harvey) and I visited two teenage girls at home to encourage them to come to Lourdes only six weeks after their mum had tragically died of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. They decided to join us and during a group chat when the children recalled their highlights of the week they thanked Eileen and I for persuading them to come. They said they felt well supported by our group in dealing with their mum’s death and had an amazing week. It costs £850 to send a child to Lourdes and this is my target to raise.

Please make a donation. I have never ran this far before!!!! I had a baby in January and started training in March and am now up to regular 5 mile runs. I will keep you all posted on the training.
