I signed up for this years Great North Run as a personal challenge and to fundraise for leukaemia & lymphoma research.

At the start of this year my Dad was diagnosed with MDS which is a type of blood cancer. 

He's now on a programme of transfusions and has just started a new drug treatment as well to help. These sorts of new treatments are only available because of charity funding so I wanted to try and raise some money in support.
