I want to raise awareness of those that suffer from locked in syndrome, which can have a devastating effect on sufferers' mental health as much as their physical health, as well as the traumatic effect on their families' lives. I feel so fortunate that I am fit and well, able to run, those with locked in syndrome cannot. If I can play a part in recognising this and contribute in some even small way to alleviating their challenges, then it's a privilege :)
