Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year will be Team Jacob's 3rd JDRF walk to cure diabetes.  It has become a firm fixture in our diary and it is always great to see some of Jacob's friends join us on the day.

The highlight of Jacob's year so far was training with the British and Irish Lions at their training camp in Cardiff and then making sure he sat next to his hero, Owen Farrell, for lunch. He was named player of the year for his year group at Mackie rugby club and also received the player of the year for school football.  We have been so proud of him, not only for these achievements but for the mature way in which he deals with his Diabetes.  Obviously after training with the Lions and following their successful tour, he now dreams of become a professional rugby player and does not see type 1 Diabetes stopping him.  His other big dream is for a cure and by taking part in the walk is our way of helping this come true.
