Story

I am again putting on my running shoes to support the wonderful Duchenne UK and all the work that they do to help boys like my nephew, Oscar. I will be taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2022.

Oscar is the most funloving little guy you could ever wish to meet and literally always has a smile on his face. Having this disease is all he has ever really known but he lives life to the absolute fullest and enjoys playing power chair football, emulating his favourite footballer, Aaron Ramsdale.

One day, Duchenne UK and science will win and will overcome this debilitating disease.  Please help us help Duchenne UK to achieve its aim and allow Oscar and others like him to carry on shining bright.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support - we really can make a difference.

Team Oscar supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy.  Duchenne is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.
