As many of you know, myself and a few friends are heading to Malawi from September 28 to Oct 14, we will be distributing footballs and netballs through the charity The Great Football Giveaway. Our goal will be to distribute two thousand footballs over this period, aiming to get off the beaten track and hit schools and orphanages in the remotest part of Malawi. I am a true believer that every child needs sport in their lives, for most of us, our earliest memories of sport probably involves a football, from a very early age my dad used to take four kids under the age of six to Croke Park (the Stadium in Dublin where Gaelic football is played) to watch Gaelic Football.
