Story
Almost four years ago, my husband Steve Campbell lost his brief battle with Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE). One uplifting part of our journey with EHE was being part of a small global community of patients, supporters, and researchers dedicated to fighting this rare cancer. Through Steve's illness, my friend Denise Robinson became connected with the EHE Foundation, and joined the board in 2019 as Director of Research.
EHE is an indiscriminate and often destructive cancer occurring in men or woman at any age and which is often aggressive in children and young adults. We know little about this rare cancer which is why research is so critical. Because of its rarity, there is no funding from government or the pharmaceutical industry for research into this cancer, and very little from larger cancer foundations and charities.
Denise and I will be the only Americans joining a team of 40 UK supporters who will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 3 April 2022 to raise funds to support EHE research. Our team is highly motivated to make a difference, and we need your help. Your donations to our fundraising pages will add to our campaign total. And every dollar you donate will go directly to research, as all costs of entering the event have been met by a single EHE supporter.
If your company has a matching gifts program, please consider submitting a match for your contribution.
THANKS for supporting EHE in Steve's memory.
