Story
This page has been set up in loving memory of Tony, a wonderful husband, Dad, Granda, brother and friend.
Tony sadly died peacefully on December 28th after bravely suffering from Lewy Body Dementia over the past 5 years.
None of us had heard of Lewy Body Dementia before Tony was eventually diagnosed in 2019. It is a cruel, debilitating disease, which led to Tony gradually losing his cognitive powers and mobility
and not being able to remember how to do the simplest of things. He was fully aware of how the disease was affecting him, which made it even sadder for those of us who loved and cared for him.
Throughout all of this time, Tony never complained, and he still retained elements of the humour he was so well known for.
Lewy Body Dementia is a devastating illness and so much is still unknown about it. It is so important that we raise awareness of, and funds for research in the hope that one day a preventative cure is found.
I would therefore ask for donations to the Lewy Body society in lieu of flowers.
