Story
I'm running a 42km race in Uganda this June!
This race is special to me as it winds through the town I spent two years in while working in Uganda. At the time, I thought the runners were crazy for tackling the local hills at any speed - yet now here we are...
While I'm excited about returning to my once-home, I'm also running to raise money for Eco Brixs, a fantastic charity that's created a pioneering plastic recycling system, turning local waste into valuable paving bricks, construction lumber, planters, and even face shields for hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. I've had the privilege of being a trustee with Eco Brixs, so have seen first-hand just how transformative their work has been in cleaning the local environment while creating thousands of jobs, many for Ugandan people with disabilities. Read more about the charity's work here: https://www.ecobrixs.org/
I'm going to be running alongside four members of the Eco Brixs Uganda team. They will probably run circles around me but still I cannot wait!
Thanks so much for donating and being part of this journey with me. The Uganda Marathon and Eco Brixs really appreciate your support!
