This year I wanted to set myself a challenge and do something positive in memory of my wonderful man Tony.

Treatment pathways and outcomes for people with brain tumours are currently incredibly limited. 

Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. (Source - Braintumourresearch.org)

Knowing there was so little I could do for Tony when he was ill, when all I wanted to do was save him was truly devastating and heartbreaking. Those feelings will never leave me, but I have the opportunity to carry on and do something meaningful. This fundraising event will challenge me to get off my backside, and invest energy and focus into something positive whilst hopefully, in some small way, contribute to raising the profile of this cause, raise vital funds towards better outcomes and make Tony proud ❤️

The challenge itself runs April 25th - May 1st 2022.
