Story
I’ve joined a group of doctors working in London who are getting (a bit) hairy to raise vital funds to support NHS workers (doctors, nurses, porters, carers, healthcare assistants....the list goes on!) on the frontline of the COVID crisis. The NHS is working harder than ever to help those suffering from COVID-19. Staff are working tirelessly every hour of every day to help save lives under increasingly difficult circumstances. NHS Charities Together provides vital funds and services for NHS staff, volunteers and patients, above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide. These funds are needed now more than ever to help fight COVID-19.Funds generated will be granted to member NHS Charities supporting the health and emotional wellbeing of those at the frontline of the NHS, so they can deliver the best care possible to coronavirus patients. A number of staff have had to shave their beards in order to keep themselves protected at work. The mighty moustache however, can remain. Therefore, to help raise vital funds to support patients and staff, we will be growing our measly moustaches over the next few weeks and months to raise as much money as possible for the NHS Charities Together! We would love as many of you to join us in this campaign, contact us on twitter or instagram for more information. Please donate or get hairy yourself and ask your friends to sponsor your efforts! Don’t forget to share your progress using #NHSHairyHeroes on Twitter and Instagram.
