Story
Ladies and gentlemen, and children of all ages.
Many times my sanity has been questioned. After reading this paragraph, you will question it more. In the month of May 2017, I will be taking part in a couple of events. I am doing Tough Mudder, the Manchester 10k and a triathlon (750m swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run) on consecutive weekends :/.
"Why?!" I hear you ask. In the past few years, I've lost two important people of my family to heart problems, and nearly lost a third.
On May 17 2013, I lost my brother, Mitesh "Jack" Mistry to a heart attack. It wasn't just I that suffered the loss but the world lost a brilliant person. He was a father, husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and an amazing person who will never see his wonderful daughter grow up.
In April 2016, I lost my sister in law, Rhonda, to something very similar, A fundraiser in her own right, Rhonda was amazing person who brought smiles and lit up any room she walked into.
In early 2015, I had another scare in the family when my grandfather needed have a pacemaker put in. It was touch and go at one point, so much so that my mum was in the same room as her sisters and brother for the first time since about 1997. He recovered from this and is still going strong.
In order to help prevent these horrible events, I am running for the British Heart Foundation. I request you donate towards this great cause to prevent the world losing more great people.
You can keep up with my "training" (Mainly complaining) by searching for #OperationCheesegrater on Twitter, or by viewing my Strava profile at https://www.strava.com/athletes/14791120
The British Heart Foundation and I thank you, and May the Force be with you.
