THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER IN YEMEN
Recorded as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, the situation in Yemen catastrophic. The severe outbreak of Covid-19 has caused more devastating effects to the war-torn nation, as victims of diseases and economic decline, food insecurity has rapidly
deepened as families are continuing to face widespread food shortages and are one deadly step from entering an extreme famine.
Islamic Help are on the ground to protect and save innocent lives. Please support this cause to deliver emergency aid, supply water and food packages and working together to offer a long-term recovery response.
The World Food Program Chief in his March 2021 trip to Yemen
noted that every 75 seconds, a child in Yemen dies of hunger.
In addition, Mark Lowcock UN aid chef said: “In Yemen, 16
million people are left hungry and an estimated 400,000 of these children under the age of 5 are extremely malnourished ”.
Our aim is to support & serve – to ensure a basic necessity such as food is accessible. By opening a bread factory, packages of bread will be distributed amongst the thousands of people in Yemen to alleviate poverty and bring happiness!
Many of us are fortunate to have witnessed this month of Ramadan, everyday waking up, knowing and looking forward to feast with families and friends at Iftar with a variety of dishes and beverages. As this is the month of giving, it’s virtue multiplies with even the smallest of deeds, so the reward will be ten folds, God
willing.
Any donation you give will help provide hot, nutritious loaves of bread
and prevent homes from starvation. It only costs £1 to provide bread to a family, or £300 to sponsor an entire bakery and feed at least 300 families daily!
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: `The people of Yemen have the most tender of hearts and softest of souls; and they are the most obedient in the worship of Allah`.

What is Gift Aid and how does it work?
It means that for every £1 you donate to Islamic Help we can claim
back 25p, at no extra cost to you. If you are a basic taxpayer and have donated towards a charitable cause, the UK allows the charity to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated. This means that Gift Aid can increase the value of your donations by 25%, which means you can give more to causes that matter to you.
Example:
1. You donate £5.00
2. You TICK the Gift Aid permission box
3. The government adds £2.50 to your donation
4. Total amount going towards charity: £12.50 (£5.00 + £2.50)
