Charity I chose to work with:

I always choose a charity to raise funds for and this time i have decided to work with Refugee Biryani and Bananas, a grass root organisation supporting refugees and displaced people worldwide. The charity provides emergency aid to basic necessities for displaced people living in refugee camps, squats and other unstable settlements.

Currently raising funds for new project

The charity is in the process of starting a new Food security project in Athens. They are currently setting up a distribution centre that will offer free food and hygiene products for the most vulnerable of people without governmental allowances and organisational support in Athens . 

The food insecurity is currently very high in Athens hence why there is a desperate need for funds. This is a such a amazing initiative and with your funds many displaced people will be supported.

How long my fundraiser will be

I intend on continuing to raise funds up until i eventually manage to travel to Greece to visit those whom we have supported through this fundraiser.

I have decided to do this fundraiser in my late grandfathers name who passed away on 03 February 2021. This will be the second fundraiser i will be doing in his name to help aid refugees.

A bit about ForRefugees

For Refugees work with local grassroots partners who are actively involved in changing the immediate situation for refugee women, children and men across Europe. The funds raised on here will go directly to Refugee Biryani and Bananas.

My previous fundraiser was a success thank you to all of those who donated. The money was spent to provide ongoing support to refugees being aided by a charity names Finding Refuge in Athens, Greece. 

I regularly update my fundraisers with photos and videos so that those who support the cause are able to see where the money was spent.
