We have set up this Justgiving fundraising page to raise money to build a Masjid in Uganda on behalf of our beloved Parents. Late Hajji Moynoor Rashid Tarafder (passed away in 2017), and Late Hajjah Angura Begum Rashid (passed away in 2021), so that they may be able to reap the rewards in the hereafter, Insha Allah.
Uganda Masjid & Water Project
For many years, the residents of a small village in Eastern Uganda have prayed their Salah in banana leaf constructions. Their Salah is hampered during rainy and windy weather and they walk 5km daily for fresh water.
Assist us with the construction of a bricked Masjid with a capacity of 200 worshippers and provision of safe water to the community.
Building a Masjid in a village that does not have proper facilities and supplying water to Muslims who do not have easy access to water is amongst the best Sadaqa Jariya (on-going charity)
The Prophet (SAW) said, "Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Jannah." [Bukhari]
The Prophet (SAW) said, "The best charity is giving water to drink."
