Paris Marathon 2011 · 10 April 2011 ·

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

NOTE - I am financing my travel, accommodation and post race Stella costs myself.  All donations will go directly to Crohn's & Colitis UK

Paris will be my 6th marathon and I take part in such events because I enjoy running and not because I am a serial charity do-gooder.

My friends and family have shown extreme generosity in their support for my fundraising efforts in the past and I am very grateful for this.  When I put my name down for Paris I did not intend doing it as a fundraiser as I think I have milked most of my contacts for a good few quid over the years BUT a few people have contacted me offering me sponsorship...............................SO

I decided to set up a page to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK.

Crohn's and Colitis UK aims to improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), the most common forms being Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Together these conditions affect about 250,000 people in the United Kingdom.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in the summer of 2006 and do what I can to help the charity raise awareness and funds to support those affected and finance research into a cure.

Please give what you can and thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
