Story
The Sussex Cancer Fund is a charity which provides hope and treaments for people with cancer through supporting research and development of clinical trials. As a Consultant Oncologist I see the difference this charity makes for many patients and their families, not only in Sussex but nationally.
I want to raise awareness of the important work this charity does and so am cycling from Sussex Cancer Centre in Brighton up to Edinburgh Cancer Centre - 650 miles within 8 days, which will be a considerable personal challenge.
It will be an interesting circuitous route as I visit my school, University and other cancer centres that I have worked in, with a stop off at Nottingham Medical School, where I trained as a doctor.
This is also a celebration of turning 50 and a chance to say Hi and thank you to the amazing colleagues and NHS cancer centres that I have had the fortune to work with.
