Story
My closest friend unfortunately in 2018 was diagnosed with a low grade glioma brain tumour. Having undergone brain surgery last year unfortunately the tumour is still growing and they’re undergoing surgery again in September/October 2019.
The charity, Astro Brain Tumour Fund, that I am fundraising for specifically focuses upon research for low-grade gliomas. The charity ‘have funded eight medical research projects into low-grade gliomas since our foundation, covering both adult and paediatric types, and have also supported a number of qualitative research initiatives’.
Please feel free to go onto their website for further information about the type of work they do and their story. They’re based in Norfolk which is also fairly local to Essex which I’ve drawn some added support from.

If you could donate £1, £2, £5 or even £10 I would be extremely grateful and hopefully the target of £200 is possible and the charity can put this money toward funding a piece of equipment or any costs that can contribute toward further research!
I will be running 6KM and rowing 5KM every day in September. That’s 109 miles running and 90 miles rowing- in total 200 miles! I’m aiming for £1 a mile to be raised and hopefully with your help we can do this.
Thanks for reading and any financial or just general support in any form will go along way to my friend, the charity and his family and friends as well.
Thanks again,
Angus
