In January 2015 I suffered a near fatal anaphylaxis shock as a result of taking a cold remedy which contained aspirin. Allergic reactions to food, medicine , cosmetics etc are increasing at 5% per annum in the UK. A young lady named Maisie Durant was not as fortunate as me and suffered a fatal reaction days earlier. This truly awakened me  to the danger of Anaphlaxia which I believe to be a misunderstood and underrated danger  to health in our society. I am a Support Group Volunteer for Anaphylaxis Campaign in the Highlands. As well as organising meet ups for people with concerns about the condition I see this cycle run as a fair pro-active challenge so that others can see that it is possible to lead as far a normal life  as possible.
