Story
When my friend Jo tragically lost her dad to brain cancer during the Covid pandemic last year, she wanted to do something amazing in his honour. Jo's dad loved walking and so this Trailwalker event run by Oxfam seemed like a fitting event to commemorate his life whilst raising lots of money for a good cause.
As a show of support and because I was feeling lardy from being far less active and far too indulgent during lockdown, I signed up for the biggest walk of my life.
So after some much needed practice walks where lessons on gear and pace have been painfully learnt, we (Louise, Jo, Fran and I) are as ready as we will ever be to undertake this challenge. So please pray for cool, but not cold, dry weather as we walk all day and through the night to complete 100k in 30hrs or less.
Your support means everything ❤️
