Story

Together with the team from The Soldiers’ Charity, we will embark on the challenging adventure to trek across the Sahara desert in Morocco.

Traveling over 100k through dunes in 4 days, stony plains, along dry river beds and camping at night under the stars (eek!) will be a trip to remember I am sure!  We will have the support from local guides, the ABF's fantastic chefs, and mountain leaders and supported by the jeeps and camels.

For all my running pals... the trek loosely follows part of the Marathon des Sables, denoted by the little coloured pebbles on the ground.

So, why support The Soldiers’ Charity?

The Sahara 100km Challenge team members will help us raise vital funds so that all soldiers, veterans and their immediate families can have the opportunity to avoid hardship and enjoy independence and dignity.

The overall scale, reach, and range of support they offer is so vast and includes supporting serving families to cope with a sudden bereavement or traumatic loss; providing wide-ranging support to wounded soldiers, many of whom will need increasing financial assistance for decades to come; providing help with housing, education, and training for employment for soldiers and veterans of all ages; we are there for older veterans and their widows or widowers when they find themselves lonely or isolated.

Any donation is greatly received.

Thank you for your support.
