Running the London Marathon has been a bucket list item for over a decade. I’ve had no luck over the years trying to win a spot in the marathon via the lottery and this year I decided to take matters into my own hands and apply to run for a charity spot. Of course, as a veterinarian, I wanted the money I raise to go towards helping animals.

The Animal Care Trust is the registered charity of the Royal Veterinary College in London and through the charity they fund equipment and facilities to improve the education of veterinary students and the care of their patients, as well as research to improve the lives of animals worldwide. All of which is very near and dear to my heart!
