Story
In January this year a truly fantastic guy left us to join the great party in the sky. Adam Horn was just 22 years of age and had everything and everyone to live for- trust me, you couldn't imagine a more beautiful person – in all senses of the word.
I was privileged enough to get to know Adam for the last year of his life here; he was one of the most inspirational, fun, and loving people I have been lucky enough to meet. For that reason (and to give Adam, who had an irrepressible sense of humour, a good laugh), I am running/jogging/walking/crawling the Great North Run this year. I will be dragging myself around the 13 miles to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity Adam himself worked with, and which provides a unique support system to young people being treated within NHS hospitals, for this cruel disease. Just how excellent their work is can be seen here: https://www.teenagecancertrust.org/
I know that charity fatigue is an issue, but because Adam was such a unique man, I hope you can look past this and generously donate to his legacy. Any amount really would be so appreciated.
If you want to see the kind of guy Adam was, and why he left such wonderful memories on all who were lucky enough to meet him, have a look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAbDAXOk6bk
Thanks for reading this, and I promise that I wont be asking for any more money this year – only because Adam was who he was am I doing the Great North Run, and asking you for some cash.
As the boy would say - One life, live it,
