Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

This year I have taken the bold and some would say, insane decision to take on the The Peaks Challenge in aid of Papyrus.  These are some of the reasons why.

Papyrus is the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide, which is the biggest killer of young people in the U.K.

Papyrus provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline HOPELINE UK.

Over 200 school children alone are lost to suicide every year and shatter the lives of all those that love them.

Thousands of young people attempt or contemplate suicide, harm themselves and suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling.

Climbing each of the three peaks over 2 days will be a huge challenge for me, both physically and mentally but knowing that I’m raising awareness and fundraising for such an important charity will get me through the training and climb, it will be worth every  blister and achy muscle!!

Did you know that:

£5 can help pay for one call, text or email to HOPELINE UK

£20 can pay for a resource pack aimed at supporting teachers

£65 can keep the helpline, text and email services running for over one hour

All donations really are lifesaving.

Thank you.
